The fire police response team has changed the requirements to join the team and make it easier for new fire police to belong.
(Requirements for participants: After completion of the N.Y.State Fire Police Course a participant may join the Chautauqua County fire police response team with permission of their fire chief and the supervising municipality. The participant will be on probation for three (3) fire police team calls concluding in a review of participant’s performance. Must have ISO-00100A and ISO-00700 completed).
You can apply using the form on this website under “file library” to request to join the fire police response team. Fill out the form and mail to Office of Emergency Services, Suite A, 1 Academy Street, Mayville, N.Y. 14757.
PLEASE NOTE: This form must be signed by your fire chief AND the mayor, deputy mayor or supervisor in charge of the town, village, city for insurance purposes.
These forms are available at our monthly meetings. We encourage all fire police who have taken the state fire police course to apply for the fire police response team. We always are looking for qualified new fire police to assist during our calls and duties.
