Apparatus
TC-1 Response Van
2017 Ford F-550
The Fire Police Response Team response van contains essential items that fire police need to control traffic at intersections and on all roads in our county. Each truck has about 70 traffic control cones to route traffic during incidents. In addition, each truck has a generator to provide electricity for powering exterior lights, portable radios, microwave oven and coffee pots. The vans also contain numerous 48-inch traffic control warning signs (Be prepared to stop, slow, road closed ahead, detour ahead, emergency scene ahead and many others). There are other traffic control signs for floods, detour signs and road closed signs. Each truck has room for fire police officers to go inside to keep warm during cold weather, coats, helmets, vests. Also included are flashlights and LED yellow lights for taffic control. Both trucks have food and water for fire police due to the long hours we often end up on calls.
